Q: Do I have to go back to jail? And, for how long? Any chance of home
detention or work release?
A: The answers to all of these questions depend on how the case is resolved.
It will also depend on the judges and prosecutors involved. We have knowledge
of the judges and prosecutors and can give favorable resolutions to most
cases. If convicted of a DUI, the mandatory time required in jail will
depend on your record. Even though 24 hours is required on a first DUI,
we can many times get you released on time served and you will not be
required to go back to jail. If we successfully defend the DUI, then there
is no mandatory jail time.
