Meet Thomas J. Thomas, Esquire

With a focus on representing
clients who have been charged with drug or alcohol-related crimes, Attorney Thomas
has made a name for himself as a
DUI attorney. He is a founding partner of
Thomas & Willis, LLC, a firm which won the Georgia Best Lawyer’s award for DUI defense
in 2013. He maintains a
Superb rating from AVVO, as well as an AV-Preeminent for Ten Years rating from
Admitted to practice before the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia
Supreme Court, Mr. Thomas has been practicing law since 1993.
He has won numerous cases of importance before both these courts:

Besides working appeals, Mr. Thomas has also
accrued years of experience as a trial lawyer. He has conducted bench and jury trials throughout metro Atlanta. Over
the years, he has seen
great success and is often able to negotiate the reduction or even the dismissal of
charges brought against his clients.
Mr. Thomas completed his undergraduate degree at Indiana University. In
1980, Mr. Thomas obtained his Juris Doctor
honors from one of the top-rated law schools in the United States, Indiana University
School of Law, Bloomington.
In addition to his traditional education, Attorney Thomas has focused and
refined his practice on DUI by completing the Mastering Scientific Evidence
training seminar, as well as the national Highway and Traffic Safety Association’s
(NHSTA) Standardized Field Sobriety Training course.

Due to his
skill and success as a trial lawyer, Mr. Thomas is regularly asked to speak at seminars. The topics he discusses
range from Preservation of Error for Appeal to Opening Trial Statements.
In addition, he has published many papers on these topics, and more. In
fact, Mr. Thomas has
published two papers on negotiation entitled
